In his Independence Day address, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu delivered a powerful message to Nigerian youth — the future of the nation. He emphasized the need for young people to dream big, innovate, and lead in science, technology, sports, arts, and creativity.
The President highlighted key initiatives:
-Student Loan Scheme: Over 510,000 students across 228 higher institutions have received ₦99.5 billion in loans and ₦44.7 billion in upkeep allowances.
-Credit Corp: ₦30 billion in affordable loans to 153,000 Nigerians for solar, vehicles, housing, and digital tools.
-Youth Credit: Thousands of NYSC members now benefit from consumer credit for resettlement.
-Digital & Creative Enterprise (AIDAS): In partnership with AfDB, AFD, and IDB, the initiative supports young innovators in tech and creative industries.
Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, the government says it is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all young Nigerians to secure a better future.
