In the heart of high mountains and vast plains, Jamileh and her two children, Farhad and Farzin, live a nomadic life in a small, remote village. Their lives are fraught with many challenges, but none of these problems have been able to weaken Jamileh's resilient spirit. She is a woman who, with love and sacrifice, tries to build a bright future for her children, even in the most difficult circumstances.
Jamileh wakes up every morning with the first light of the sun and goes about her daily chores. She has to be the mother, father, and breadwinner of the family at the same time. On a warm summer morning, Jamileh takes Farhad to school to prepare him for first grade. This day is full of great hopes and aspirations for her; she wants her children to benefit from education and experience a new world. But this day is only part of the challenges in her life.
After returning from the trial, Jamila leaves her children with the camerawoman and heads to the courtroom. She knows that today she will have to fight for custody of her children against her ex-husband, Farshad. Jamila enters the courtroom with a heart full of stress and worry. The judge speaks with a cold and ruthless look, and Jamila feels that everything is against her. In the meantime, Jamila spares no effort for the sake of her children and fights with all her heart. But after the hearing, she returns home with tearful eyes and a broken heart.
The camerawoman asks her worriedly how the trial went. Jamila, with a trembling voice and wiping away her tears, tells her: “I hired a lawyer, but the judge spoke as if he was siding with Farshad and that he was right. They said they would only give me the children if I had some income, like a livestock or poultry farm. But I have nothing. No money to start and no help to continue. I just have to try to get a loan and start a livestock farm.”
Jamileh continues with renewed hope: “Now I have to start a poultry farm and get some chickens so that the court can look at me positively. Even though they may not agree, I have to do this for my children. This is my only way.”
The camerawoman tells Jamileh with an encouraging smile: “I hope the court gives you custody of the children. You have to stay strong and stand up to Farshad.”
Jamileh, with a firm will, replies: “Yes, I have to do this. I cannot let Farshad down. These children are my future and I will never give up.”
This story represents the strength and determination of a mother who, despite all the challenges and hardships, never gives up trying to build a better future for her children. With love and hope, Jamila is a symbol of women who fight through difficulties and strive with all their heart for a bright future.
