In the heart of high mountains and vast plains, Jamileh and her two children, Farhad and Farzin, live a nomadic life in a small, remote village. On a warm summer morning, Jamileh takes Farhad to school to prepare him for first grade. After returning from the trial, Jamila leaves her children with the camerawoman and heads to the courtroom. She knows that today she will have to fight for custody of her children against her ex-husband, Farshad. Jamila enters the courtroom with a heart full of stress and worry. The judge speaks with a cold and ruthless look, and Jamila feels that everything is against her. In the meantime, Jamila spares no effort for the sake of her children and fights with all her heart. Jamileh continues with renewed hope: “Now I have to start a poultry farm and get some chickens so that the court can look at me positively. Even though they may not agree, I have to do this for my children. This is my only way.”

The camerawoman tells Jamileh with an encouraging smile: “I hope the court gives you custody of the children. You have to stay strong and stand up to Farshad.”

Jamileh, with a firm will, replies: “Yes, I have to do this. I cannot let Farshad down. These children are my future and I will never give up.”
