H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, shared what FinTech-related mechanisms, activities and projects are currently being implemented or are in the process of development in Cambodia, that will enhance access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These include the newly established SME Bank and Credit Guarantee Scheme, new cross-border payment partnerships with regional FinTech giants like Alipay+, and the Financial Transparency Corridor (FTC) that the NBC has established with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Dr. Serey delivered these remarks during a panel discussion on “Safeguarding The Economy's Backbone: Accelerating Global SME Growth Through Digital Innovation" at the 2024 Singapore FinTech Festival.
